The El Dorado Nordic Ski Patrol promotes winter backcountry safety with educational classes on survival skills such as: clothing, equipment, shelters, fires, ski mountaineering, hypothermia, avalanche, navigation. We patrol and maintain cross country ski trails and provide a mountain search and rescue team. The Patrol is a volunteer, non-profit organization based on the Eldorado National Forest in California and is funded by donations and our annual fund raising event, the Echo to Kirkwood Race and Tour.
