The White Horse Model Club was formed in 1975 at the foot of the famous Berkshire White Horse chalk figure carved in the hill side, hence the name of the club and logo. The club catered for most aeromodelling disciplines, Everything from ducted fan R/C jets through to indoor free flight models. However the club had a predominant core of R/C model aircraft both in sport and scale, powered and gliding, it is this element that is the mainstream of the club today. Saltire was set up just three years ago by businessmen Sandy Valentine and Peter Work. Samskip, which has two ultra modern fish carriers regularly operating between Iceland and Immingham, near Grimsby, has been on a steady expansion march for the past two years to include both fish and non-fish logistics services. Samskip is no stranger to the Scottish logistics market having had a commercial presence for its Reefer Logistics and Iceland Line products since 2004.
