The NASA Aviation Safety Program's Weather Accident Prevention (WxAP) project is developing tools and technologies to: Improve pilot awareness of hazardous weather conditions encountered by the aircraft en route; and help pilots make strategic decisions to avoid or lessen the impact of potential weather hazards.
